Everyone experiences worry from time to time, and it is quite natural and normal to do so. Being faced with sudden changes and life stressors can produce fear and anxiety in even the most well-adjusted individuals. However, if this overwhelming sense of fear and anxiety becomes excessive, persistent, and hard to control, it may be a sign of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). GAD can appear in many ways including:
excessive anxiety and worry
increased muscle aches and soreness
impaired concentration
fatigue
restlessness
difficulty sleeping and irritability
Our team of psychologists at InPsych are trained with providing individualised treatments for GAD including Mindfulness Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
