Frequently Asked Questions
Below are questions that are frequently asked by clients that we have responded to.
01 Do I need to bring anything to my first appointment?

If you are attending your first appointment, you should have your referral and/or Mental Health Care Plan with you and that you have submitted the Patient Intake/Service Agreement Form that was sent to your email.

02 How do I claim my Medicare Rebate?

After your appointment is completed, so long as the treating psychologist has your referral, they are able to process the rebate for you. Alternatively, you are able to request the receipt invoice and process the rebate yourself through the mygov app.

03 I paid for my session in full but have not received my Medicare rebate, what do I do?

There are a few reasons why you have not received your Medicare rebate:
1) Medicare DOES NOT have your bank account details (to check this, head over to myGov).
If your psychologist has tried to process the rebate and Medicare does not have your bank account details, then you will need to provide Medicare with your bank details and provide them with the receipt from your appointment. Future Medicare rebates will be able to be processed with us once you have set up your bank details.

2) If Medicare DOES have your bank account details then double check with your psychologist that they have processed the rebate.

3) If none of the above work you will need to consider whether you have used up your mental health care plan limits (limit of 10 Medicare rebates per calendar year).

If you are still having trouble with receiving your Medicare rebate, phone reception at 1300 678 160 so we may assist you.
